Fremantle have confirmed their final team of 23 set to take on Port Adelaide at Adelaide Oval on Saturday 18 July.

As revealed by senior coach Justin Longmuir in his Thursday morning media conference, Hayden Young will return to the side after missing Round 18 with a groin concern. Young will replace Shai Bolton, who is being managed.

Longmuir also confirmed that ruckman Mason Cox would hold his spot in the side over fellow ruck Sean Darcy.

Cox has been named on the bench alongside Isaiah Dudley, Matthew Johnson, Judd McVee and Jaeger O’Meara, while Young will start on the field in the middle next to Caleb Serong, Luke Jackson and Andrew Brayshaw.

M. Cox will play his 150th AFL game and 11th for Fremantle on the weekend after retaining his spot in the side, while 2016 pick No. 41 draftee Brennan Cox will bring up the same 150‑game milestone, all in purple for the defender.

Speaking on 96FM on Thursday morning, Young said he was feeling confident heading into his final main training session later in the morning.

“Yeah, the groin's great,” Young said.

“I would have loved to have played last week, but the five‑day break was very short, so it didn't give me a good chance.

“But I’m feeling really confident that I'll play this week.

"I've got to train one more time today, but I’m feeling really confident."

Oscar McDonald, Chris Scerri and Brandon Walker have been named as the emergencies for the clash.

The game will commence at 11.15am WST on Saturday 18 July, and will be broadcast live on Channel 7 and Fox Footy and streamed live on Kayo and 7plus from 11.00am.
