Fyfe Rising
Barra and Fyfey delivered for us last week. Check out this week's hot DT tip
Last week’s Freo Dream Team Wrap told you to get David Mundy and Nat Fyfe in your sides before their price sky-rocketed after round 3.
Both players scored an equal team-high 117 points in Fremantle’s impressive victory over Adelaide at AAMI Stadium.
Barra’s season average now stands at a whopping 112.7 points after three games.
His season starting price of $370,200 jumped up by $20,400 after his 30 disposal effort on Saturday.
There’s a few more price rises in store, too.
Mundy’s breakeven this week against North Melbourne - a team he scored 104 points against at home last year - is just 44 points.
Strongly consider him if you’re looking for a unique captain pick this round.
It’s a similar story for Fyfe, who has arguably taken the biggest Dream Team leap in 2011 - and he has a huge leap - of the top picks from the 2009 National Draft.
He has improved his 2010 DT average (70.4) by a huge 21.9 points to 92.3 in 2011.
Only the 11th pick, Melbourne’s Jordan Gysberts (+33 DT points change), has a larger improvement than Fyfe from any of the top 25 picks from the 2009 National Draft who played in 2010. But Gysberts has only played one game in 2011.
Fyfey’s price gained $21,900 after his third game to sit at $304,800.
The Lake Grace youngster’s breakeven in round 4 is just 49 points, meaning he should continue to add value to your kitty if you own him.
If you’re looking for another Freo player who has performed well above Dream Team expectations in 2011, then look no further than Nick Suban.
He’s doing a wonderful job on the Freo half-back line, racking up possies and tackles for an 86.3 average this season.
Suban’s starting price was just $248,900 - although if you want him in your side he now costs $273,200 after a $24,300 price rise.
Still, his breakeven is just 22 points against the Kangaroos.
Subes should eat that up in tackles alone, which he is averaging five-per-game of in 2011.
It’s a strange week in Dream Team circles if you are into league play. In fact it’ll be a weird three weeks.
Due to three teams having byes in each of the next three rounds, league play is suspended.
But, if overall glory is your thing, then keep your boots on and stay in the game.
Whichever way you go about it, good luck in round 4 Dream Teamers.
