Alex Forster (SD) 13 disposals (9 kicks, 4 handballs) 4 marks,
Alex played in defence for Swan Districts reserves. He began the game where he let his opponent get behind him on a couple of occasions but he quickly adjusted to this and improved his positioning in the second quarter. He had a lot more impact in the game in the second half. His use by foot was very good and he was very proactive in rebounding from defence.

Antoni Grover (S) 17 disposals (12 kicks, 5 handballs) 7 marks
Antoni played high half back for the first half and was deeper in the second. In the first half he looked very aggressive and attacked the game and attempted to rebound at every opportunity. In regards to his defensive positioning he constantly blocked his opponent’s run and took away any leading space. Overall he had a good game.

Alex Silvagni (C) 12 disposals (6 kicks, 6 handballs) 7 marks
It was a solid game for Alex where Claremont had a strong win against East Fremantle. He stood strong in defence, where he took seven marks with a large proportion of those in a contest. He was rarely between in one-on-one contests in a forward line that varied in size. He beat his opponents, took some strong marks, and showed good effort and organisation.

Zac Dawson (P)7 disposals (1 kick, 6 handballs) 3 marks
Zac played in defence on a variety of tall opponents. Whilst he didn’t have a lot of the ball we were really happy with his game in regards to his positioning and his ability to nullify opponents. He was also creative in counter attacks by spoiling the ball to ground. The positive of Zac’s game was that he was still running really late into the game, which shows that in his first game back after six weeks, out, his conditioning is good.

Peter Faulks (PT) 30 disposals (18 kicks, 12 handballs) 10 marks, 4 tackles
Peter really challenged Zac Clarke for the WAFL player of the round this week. He has had a very consistent season. He played key back and had 30 disposals, 12 spoils, seven ground balls and took 10 marks. Out of the 25 goals that West Perth kicked only one of those was kicked on Peter. That showed it was a dominant defensive display. He played on a mix of tall and smalls, and he was one of the better players on the ground in a team that was well beaten. Peter demonstrated great effort, his defensive positioning was very good and showed good attack on the ball and the contest.
