Fremantle will take on Sydney on Thursday 9 July at Optus Stadium. The game will commence at 6.10pm WST. 

Thursday night will celebrate the 24th annual Starlight Purple Haze Game, proudly presented by South32. 

The Club is closing in on an incredible $4 million raised for the Starlight Children's Foundation since 2003, with just over $300,000 left to reach the milestone.  

In place of a special edition Starlight guernsey, players will wear special warm-up tees for the game, featuring artwork created by children from the Starlight Express Room at Perth Children’s Hospital. Asked to draw what Starlight meant to them, their images have been combined into a single, one-off design.

Transport Information 

Thursday Night Footy 

• Trains between Perth and Perth Stadium Station will operate every 4 minutes from 4.05pm until 6.33pm. 
• Trains on the Armadale and Thornlie-Cockburn lines will operate every 12 minutes. 
• Direct trains on the Yanchep and Mandurah lines will not be operating before the match, as this period overlaps with the weekday peak-hour timetable when our trains are already in full operation across the network. 
• The Suburban Event Bus Network will not be operating before the game. Passengers will need to catch a timetabled bus or train to the event. Alternatively, you can catch the Red CAT and walk over the Matagarup Bridge. 
• The Suburban Event Bus Network will be operating for 45 minutes after the game. Alternatively, you can walk over the Matagarup Bridge and catch the Red CAT.

It's our biggest night of giving back. South32 will pledge $1,000 for every Fremantle goal and match fan pledges up to a combined total of $100,000, so every goal helps brighten the lives of seriously ill children and their families.

Get your Starlight Purple Haze Beanie 
Fans can grab a Starlight Purple Haze Beanie on the night from section 131 for $30, with $15 from every sale going straight to the Starlight Children's Foundation.  

Starlight wands are also available for $10 from volunteers outside the ground, and inside at section 101, section 131 and the Clubhouse/River View Room.

The joy of being part of a spectacular light show is real, no matter where you are in the stadium. Using the power of sound and light, we will captivate you with a synchronised stadium and mobile light show, creating an immersive experience that will leave a lasting impression.

Be sure to have your phone ready to scan the QR code on the big screens and become part of the action.

Head up to the Ressies Bar at the Eastern Scoreboard Terrace on Level 5 for the perfect pre-game party! 

We will have local musician Angelina Curtis taking the stage and setting the vibes for what should be an amazing evening of footy. 

101 Oh What Fun! (Near Lobby 101)  
Located at Lobby 101, 101 Oh What Fun is your destination for fun outside of the footy. 

• Airbrush Tattoo: If you missed out on an airbrush tattoo before the game, be sure to stop by and get some purple paint. 
• Craft Workshop: Try your creative side with the Freo Craft Workshop. This week, decorate and make your own badge. Draw your favourite player or even decorate their jumper number to wear as you cheer them on each week! 
• Player Visit: Freo players will be stopping by at half-time, so be sure to catch them for an autograph or selfie. 

101 Oh What Fun will close at the end of three-quarter time. 

131 Even More Fun! (Western Podium)  
Western Podium behind section 131, in between the City View Cafe and Goodwood Restaurant. 

• Wheelchair Footy: WA All Abilities Wheelchair football 'come and try' and inclusion specialists will be on-hand to discuss participation opportunities in adaptive football for people living with disabilities. Wheelchair Footy will be running from when stadium gates open until the end of half-time. 
• Reaction Game: Test your reaction speed! This fun and addictive game challenges you to catch as many falling batons as you can before they hit the ground. 
• Freo Guess Who?: How well do you know the Dockers players? Challenge your mates to the classic Guess Who? Game with a Freo twist! 

TABtouch Darts  
Have you got the touch? Come have a shot at the TABtouch Darts activation where you can throw felt footballs at a dartboard for the chance to win a range of prizes from merchandise to vouchers. 

AFL Gameday Rooftop Experience

Optus Stadium Restaurants and Catering 

The City View Cafe will be OPEN. However, the Goodwood restaurant will be CLOSED. 

The Freo Clubhouse  
The Freo Clubhouse in River View Rooms and Sky View Lounge will be open for this round, however, you will need to show your ticket stating room access to receive entry. 

The Sky View Underscreen bar will be closed for the entire match for a private function.
