McPharlin to challenge one-game ban
Key defender Luke McPharlin may still play in Saturday's clash with Adelaide if Freo can overturn the Match Review Panel's decision
The brilliant defender was charged with a Level One bumping or making forceful contact from front-on offence against West Coast's Jack Darling during the first quarter of the Carlton Mid Derby.

Due to his previous record, his one-match sanction had to remain at one match, even with an early plea.
Senior coach Ross Lyon said on 6PR last night that McPharlin would only risk extra loading by challenging, which meant his suspension would still be one-game even if Freo failed to overturn the decision.
"I think it's one of those areas that is a little bit grey and there's been some lack of consistency… I don't think we've got anything to lose, bar an extra loading," Lyon said.
The AFL Tribunal will hear McPharlin’s challenge tonight. Stay tuned for updates on fremantlefc.com.au as they happen.
Matthew Pavlich and Matt de Boer have accepted reprimands and are both free to play in Saturday's match at AAMI Stadium.
Pavlich was charged with a Level Two striking offence against Mitch Brown during the third quarter of the match.
He accepted a reprimand and 93.75 points towards his future record.
De Boer was charged with a Level One tripping offence against Daniel Kerr during the second quarter.
He accepted a reprimand and 60 points towards his future record.
