Defender Tobe Watson will come in to play his third AFL game when Fremantle take on North Melbourne on Saturday at Metricon Stadium.

The 22-year-old replaces fellow back Reece Conca, who has come out of the team due to a hamstring injury.

Travis Colyer, Hugh Dixon, Luke Valente and Liam Henry are Fremantle’s emergencies.

In his weekly media conference on Friday, senior coach Justin Longmuir said that Conca’s injury was on the minor side, and was just a precaution due to Fremantle flying to and from the Gold Coast from their hub in Cairns on game day.

“Reece has a tight hammy and I’m just not willing to take the risk given we’ve got a two hour flight to get to the game,” Longmuir said.

Taylin Duman retains his place after passing a fitness test on his rolled ankle, which the defender injured in round 16 against Melbourne.

Meanwhile North Melbourne have made two changes, with Aiden Bonar and Taylor Garner coming in for omissions Lachlan Hosie and Marley Williams.

Bouncedown for Saturday’s game is at 12.10pm AWST (2.10pm local time) and will be broadcast nationally on Foxtel. It can also be streamed live via Kayo and AFL Live Pass.

Due to the AFL’s broadcast agreement, the game will not be broadcast live on free to air into WA, with a delayed broadcast commencing at 2.30pm (AWST) on Channel 7.
