THE ISSUES
- Low education levels lead to poor life long health and wellbeing outcomes.
- The lack of accessible, effective and comprehensive service delivery to rural and remote West Australians leads to poor outcomes and cycles of disadvantage.
- Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander primary students in WA have a significantly lower attendance rate than non-Aboriginal students.
WHAT IS NEEDED?
An investment in approaches that increase student participation in all areas of education, particularly for at-risk groups such as youth, rural and remote communities and those coming from low socio-economic backgrounds.
OUR ROLE
