Fremantle members and supporters attending the Len Hall Game at Patersons Stadium on Monday are urged to arrive at the venue prior to 6.00pm so they can seated before the start of the Anzac Day commemoration.
This year the Len Hall Game will commemorate the 70th anniversary of the Siege of Tobruk, the Battle of Crete and the sinking of the HMAS Sydney - all occurring in 1941.
The commemoration is scheduled to start at 6.10pm when 100 war veterans, including representatives from Vietnam, Malaya/Borneo, Indonesia, Far East Strategic Reserve, Fleet Air Arm, Indigenous Veterans, North American Veterans, Totally and Permanently Incapacitated Association and current serving members, march on the oval.
World War II and Korean Veterans and members of the Defence Widows and War Widows Guild will be in the crowd.
Four veterans, including 92-year-old Cyril Allender who joined the AIF in 1943 and fought in all the major battles on the Kokoda Trail, will light the Flame of Remembrance.
The Observance Ceremony is scheduled to start at 6.39pm, when representatives from the Royal Australian Navy Guard will march on the oval.
Rat of Tobruk John “JJ” Wade, 92, who served with the 2/28th Battalion, will then recite The Ode.
Bugler Ben Conneally, from the Western Australian Detachment - Royal Australian Navy Band, will play the Last Post.
Fellow band member Able Seaman David Mouchemore will sing the National Anthem.
Ivan Walter from the 2/11th AIF will toss the coin.
Bounce down is at 6.45pm.
