Fremantle have confirmed their final team of 21 to take on GWS in this Saturday’s clash at Henson Park.

First-year player Poppy Stockwell makes a return for her second career AFLW game, replacing an injured Áine Tighe (knee) in the line-up.

The 21-year-old last featured for Fremantle in the Club’s Round 6 win over Essendon, where she kicked a goal on debut.

Stockwell slots into the forward line alongside Hayley Miller, Dana East, Georgie Brisbane and captain Ange Stannett.

Confirmed earlier in the week, Tighe will miss through a right knee injury sustained in last week’s win over Melbourne, with further information required to determine the severity of the injury and to understand a clear timeline.

Holly Ifould, Amy Mulholland and Jo Cregg have been named as the emergencies for the clash.

The clash will mark Laura Pugh’s 75th milestone game, with Miller and Gabby O’Sullivan the only other Fremantle players to have reached 75 AFLW games so far.

Pugh touched on her milestone feat in a Thursday morning media conference.

“It’s been an incredible journey, and with the milestone, you have the time to reflect on it a bit,” Pugh said.

“The game of AFLW (over that time) has gone to another level with the speed and skill required which has been incredible to see.

“The vibe is really good (amongst the group) and we know what we can achieve together… we have to keep training well and keep our standards high.

“Coming up against GWS who are in some really good form will be a great test.”

Senior Coach Lisa Webb also spoke to media on Thursday, saying it’s important that she prepares her group well to bring their best on the weekend.

“They’ve got some terrific inside mids and forwards, so when they get that ball inside 50s they are pretty impressive,” Webb said.

“You can ride the highs and lows too much at times and we need to stay really anchored. We obviously enjoyed an important win (over Melbourne) and it’s important that we reset quickly on a six-day break against GWS.”

The last time the two sides met was in Round 9 last year, with Fremantle notching a convincing 30-point win over GWS at Henson Park in which Aish McCarthy booted three goals.

The Club will wear the white away version of Fremantle’s 2025 Pride Jumper, which honours the Club’s legacy while embracing a powerful show of unity and inclusion.

The core design of the jumper is made up of 120 hearts - each hand-drawn by Fremantle players and staff, making up a rainbow version of the classic chevrons.

The game will be broadcast live on 7Mate and Fox Sports 507 as well as streamed live on Kayo, 7plus and Binge from 12pm WST.
